Eczema: Foods to Eat and Avoid

The skin condition where the skin becomes inflamed and itchy is known as eczema, or atopic dermatitis. It is a condition that can affect all ages. If there is a history in the family, you are more likely to develop it. Symptoms appear in the form of rashes on the neck, wrists, ankles, and legs. Foods to avoid for eczema patients include the following:

1. Kombucha

Often the benefits of kombucha are indicated. With so many probiotics in kombucha, it is a drink that could have healing factors that keep your eczema at bay. The healing properties in probiotics reduce swelling and make scratching manageable.

2. Yogurt

Another surprising item on the list of foods to favor with eczema is yogurt. With good bacteria part of the makeup of yogurt, this food stimulates the body to produce white blood cells that reduce swelling and irritation. 3. Fish

  • Citrus fruits

  • Spices

  • Alcohol
